The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina has demanded the arrest of the Iranian minister who is part of the Iranian delegation visiting Pakistan.
Arab news agencies “Al Arabiya” On Tuesday, Argentina asked Interpol to arrest Iran’s interior minister over the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires.
In a statement released by the Argentine Foreign Ministry, it was said that the aforementioned Minister Ahmed Wahidi is part of the Iranian delegation visiting Pakistan and Sri Lanka and Interpol has issued a red alert for his arrest at the request of Argentina.
The statement added that Argentina has also asked these two governments to arrest Waheedi.
“One of them is Ahmed Wahidi, who is wanted by Argentina as one of those responsible for the attack once morest AMIA,” the statement said.
Argentina has the largest Jewish community in Latin America with over 300,000 members. It is also home to immigrant communities from the Middle East, particularly Syria and Lebanon.
