Dengue Epidemic Report: Latest Updates from Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélemy, Guadeloupe, and Martinique

In Saint-Martin, the number of cases clinically suggestive of dengue recorded per week has reached the highest level since the beginning of October, indicates Santé Publique France. Last week, 235 suggestive cases were recorded compared to 170 the week before. 17 visits to the emergency room were recorded, one person was hospitalized.

In total, nearly 1,210 clinical cases of dengue have been seen in medicine since the start of the epidemic and 141 visits to the emergency room recorded.

In Saint-Barthélemy, it is stabilizing, with, on average, 90 cases per week since mid-November.

The decline in the number of clinically suggestive cases continues in Guadeloupe and Martinique. Respectively 315 and 480 cases were recorded last week.

At the hospital, we are observing a decrease in the number of visits to the emergency room which begins in Guadeloupe and continues in Martinique.
