From April 3 to 16, 2023, 10 cases of dengue were recorded (compared to 6 cases the previous fortnight). The number of cases remains at a low level.
The population is encouraged to apply preventive measures on a daily basis to combat the spread of the virus: remove anything that may contain stagnant water at home, protect themselves from mosquitoes (repellents, mosquito nets) and consult a doctor immediately as soon as first symptoms.

Over the period concerned, the cases are spread over 5 municipalities: Saint-Denis, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Pierre, Le Tampon and Étang-Salé.
Since January 2023: 87 confirmed cases, 28 visits (following data consolidation) to the emergency room and 1 hospitalization.
