Wagner’s leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and some of his fighters were supposed to move to Belarus, according to the agreement reached between the Kremlin and the Wagner Group, but that has not happened yet.
Lukashenko said that very serious Wagner fighters are still in camps to which they withdrew following leaving Bakhmut.
As for Yevgeny Prigozhin, he added, he is in St. Petersburg. Or maybe somewhere else. But he is not in Belarus.
BBC correspondent Steve Rosenberg attended the press conference in Minsk and also asked him regarding his statements regarding the use of nuclear weapons that are not his.
