Just over a month away from the start of the NFL preseason, the San Francisco 49ers are dealing with troubles off the field. On Thursday, it was confirmed that cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was arrested in Los Angeles.

Arrest Details

According to preliminary reports, Lenoir was detained on suspicion of obstruction of justice. Initial information provided by the Los Angeles Police Department indicates that officers attempted to inspect a vehicle containing a weapon. However, Lenoir and the group he was with refused to hand over the car keys, leading to his arrest.

Lenoir was released early Friday morning, but will face legal repercussions in the coming days. He is expected to appear before the court next month. So far, the 49ers have not issued an official statement regarding the legal situation of their player.

Who is Deommodore Lenoir?

Deommodore Lenoir joined the San Francisco 49ers in the 2021 NFL Draft when he was chosen in the fifth round from the University of Oregon. Despite being a lower-round draft pick, he has become a key player in the team’s secondary defense.
