Deportivo Pereira announced that coach Alejandro Restrepo will not renew his relationship with the club, so he will no longer be the team’s coach. The Paisa coach leaves the team following almost two years, in which he played 86 games and managed to win the Colombian League.
The coach left the club following a huge campaign in the Copa Libertadores and, a not so good one, in the local league. Pereira finished in box 17 this semester, far from the classification positions. However, his participation in the Libertadores was more than memorable.

Restrepo played 86 games with Deportivo Pereira. Of those 86, he won 32, drew 22 and lost 32, leaving a positive average for the team. The coach also achieved the team’s first, and only, star in the 74-year history of Colombian football, following winning the league in the second half of 2022.
“We wish the professional and the human being the greatest success in their new projects and we reiterate the appreciation, respect and gratitude that we profess to them from the institution,” was the message with which the Deportivo Pereira coach announced his departure.
