The 33-year-old subject was apprehended by members of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) last Thursday, September 22, when he was traveling in a vehicle along Troncal 10 towards the town of El Callao.

It was learned that while checking the citizen’s car, officials observed different plastic containers with fuel inside.

According to the information published by the Public Ministry, the driver did not have legal permits to mobilize them, and for this reason he was placed under the orders of the Third Prosecutor’s Office of Puerto Ordaz, whose representatives charged him with the crime of aggravated smuggling.

After the elements of conviction were evaluated by the prosecutors in the case, the man was detained at the entity’s PNB headquarters.
