Despite the pandemic byCovid-19, dozens of people from Mexico City and national and foreign tourists went to the Historic Center of the country’s capital to witness the militar parade for the 211 anniversary of the beginning of the struggle of Mexico’s independence, which started after eleven o’clock this Thursday morning.

A year ago, it only reached the Central Axis and more than 600 elements of the Army, Navy and National Guard, for the health emergency.

With benches and chairs, families searched for the best places along the route where the contingents of the Army, Air Force and National Guard, made up of the Zócalo, Calle 5 de Mayo, Eje Central, Avenida Hidalgo, Paseo de la Reforma to conclude at Campo Marte.

From seven in the morning they arrived adults, youth and children to the fences installed on the route, guarded by elements and cadets of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC), as well as by the Army.

From the municipality of Texcoco, State of Mexico, Cecilia Martínez attended the parade for the first time with her two sons.

He arrived at seven thirty in the morning at the intersection of Avenida Hidalgo and Eje Central to reach a good place.

“It is the first time that I come, we bring the children, we knew we couldn’t because of the pandemic but our children motivated us to come because they like to see the Army and later they want to be soldiers,” he said.

Mrs. Ofelia Mendoza said that she went to see the Armed Forces parade, because she admires the support they provide to Mexicans in cases of disaster, through the DNIII-E plan.

In the company of her husband and daughter, she arrived after seven in the morning from the Iztapalapa mayor’s office.

He stressed that many of the attendees are relatives of members of the Army, Navy and National Guard, who come to see them parade and support.
