In the capital of Dagestan, Makhachkala, 16 demonstrators were detained who were trying to hold a rally in support of Palestine in the war with Israel. 70 police officers went to the rally site.

“Yesterday [17 октября] Several dozen men gathered on Lenin Square in the capital of Dagestan who wanted to hold an action of solidarity with the residents of the Gaza Strip,” reports the telegram channel “Caution, News.” According to media reports, 16 people were detained as a result of the rally.

It is clarified that 70 police officers went to the scene of the action and dispersed the demonstration. At the same time, the telegram channel stated that Makhachkala residents were encouraged to leave by various Ukrainian channels pretending to be the local opposition. Such media have been operating since the very beginning of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, writes “Caution, News”.

The war between Palestine and Israel began on October 7, when Hamas militants broke into the territory of the Jewish state. Many Muslim states supported the Palestinian side, accusing Jerusalem of aggression.
