This was the tenth win in a row for Eastern Conference leaders Florida. The young German star Moritz Seider had a good 20 minutes of ice time and was on the ice with three goals conceded.
While Florida, number one in the Atlantic Division, is already qualified for the playoffs, Detroit has already missed it. National player Seider might therefore – like Tim Stützle (Ottawa Senators) and Philipp Grubauer (Seattle Kraken) – take part in the World Cup, which begins in mid-May in Finland.
