Deutsche Telekom serves millions of users across 10 European countries. Each customer has unique questions, needs, and contexts.
Providing rapid and precise service is crucial. It builds trust, drives efficiency, and directly impacts business results.however, delivering consistent service relies on having the right facts available at the right time and in the right context.
In early 2023, I joined a dedicated team within an initiative led by our product director, Jonathan Abrahamson. My role focused on engineering and architecture within a newly formed competition center at AICC.
My clear objective was to improve customer service across all our European operations. as large language models began showing promising results, it became evident that generative AI could be a transformative tool.
This realization marked the beginning of an effort to tackle a basic challenge: how to reliably implement AI-based assistants within a complex, multinational ecosystem.
This led to the development of Los, a sovereign and user-pleasant platform.Los enables the creation and deployment of AI agents throughout Telekom’s operations.
One of the key solutions developed on this platform is Magenta Onebot. It serves as our customer service assistant for sales and services across Europe.
Today, Los supports millions of customer interactions. This has significantly reduced resolution times and lowered transfer rates to human agents.
