Madinah: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Prince Mohammed bin Salman has launched the largest project in history to develop the Quba Mosque.
The aim of the project is to increase the total area of Quba Masjid and its surroundings by ten times to 50,000 square meters. With the implementation of this project, the mosque will be able to accommodate 66,000 devotees. This development project of Quba Masjid will be the largest project in the history of the mosque.
The Crown Prince lauded the great care given by King Salman, the custodian of Iru Haram, to the Quba Mosque, the first mosque built in Islam. The project aims to accommodate the largest number of believers during the seasons, highlight religious significance, document the historical features of Quba, preserve the city’s and architectural style, and preserve the historical monuments located near the mosque.
