Dexory, a robotics startup founded by three Romanian entrepreneurs, has officially opened its North American headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, the company announced this week. The move signals a significant expansion for the London-based firm, which develops autonomous robots and AI-powered solutions for warehouse operations.
Founded in 2022 by Andrei Dănescu, Adrian Negoiţă, and Oana Jinga, Dexory initially operated under the name BotsAndUS before rebranding. The founders, who have a combined background in engineering and technology from institutions including Formula 1, Google, and IBM, aim to revolutionize warehouse efficiency through real-time data capture and analysis.
The new facility, spanning approximately 4,645 square meters, will serve as a hub for implementation, development, and live demonstrations for North American clients. “The United States represents a critical market for Dexory,” said Andrei Dănescu, co-founder and CEO of Dexory. “This facility reflects our long-term commitment to delivering greater value to our North American customers. The scale of the region, customer demands, and operational complexity push warehouse networks to their limits. That’s exactly where Dexory excels. The more demanding the environment, the greater the impact of our real-time data and actionable insights.”
Dexory’s expansion follows a period of substantial growth, including the completion of Series B and Series C funding rounds, the launch of its next-generation autonomous robot, and the strengthening of its US leadership team. A Series C funding round in the fall of 2025 secured $165 million, comprised of $100 million in equity and $65 million in debt funding.
The company’s client base already includes major global players such as Ikea, DHL, GXO, Maersk, DB Schenker, Stellantis, and Jaguar. Dexory’s robots, manufactured entirely in the United Kingdom, are currently deployed in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and the Middle East.
Dexory’s robots, reaching heights of up to 12 meters, capture real-time data and images within warehouses. This data feeds into a “digital twin” technology, enabling instant analysis of inventory levels, space utilization, and stock movement. The digital twin provides immediate access to the captured data, highlighting discrepancies with existing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in an easily accessible digital format.
The resulting data helps resolve operational challenges, improve efficiency in storage and picking processes, and generate valuable insights into warehouse operations, including real-time occupancy fluctuations and optimized picking routes. These tasks were previously performed manually.
artificial intelligence provides real-time optimization suggestions for resource planning and workforce management. Dexory operates on a “Robotics as a Service” (RaaS) model, offering subscriptions on a monthly basis.
According to Dexory, current clients utilizing DexoryView – the company’s visibility platform – include GXO, Maersk, DHL, NFI, ODW Logistics, Flexport, Iron Mountain, Stellantis, and GE Appliances.
