‘Mahendra Singh Dhoni has decided to replace the captain of the Chennai Super Kings with Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja has been an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings since 2012. Jadeja is only the third player to lead the Chennai Super Kings. “Dhoni will play for Chennai this season and in the coming seasons,” the Chennai Super Kings said in a statement.
Dhoni has been the team captain since the inception of the IPL in 2007. They are four-time IPL champions. Dhoni has scored 4,746 runs in 220 IPL matches; Strike rate 135.83.
