Diablo IV general manager Rod Fergusson confirmed that the game will get Blizzard’s annual expansion. Even though Diablo IV was one of Metacritic’s best games of the year, players still want more from their trip to Hell. In an interview with Dexerto, Ferguson talked regarding the multiple expansions in the works, with plans to release one per year. “But, you know, it’s year following year,” Ferguson said of Diablo IV’s future plans. “That’s what we’re focusing on. When you look at the launch of the game and the first season, we think that’s laying the groundwork for the future. So when we look at the quarterly seasons, and the yearly expansions, those are the things we’re really focusing on. We’ve got plans. We’re always going across our seasons, across our expansions, so it’s something we’ve been doing for a long time. We’re excited. So not only will we get expansions, we’ll have Season of the season is coming to keep us going. Hopefully this means that even if we have to wait another 11 years to see Diablo V, players will have enough content to keep them going.
