Dijon: 15-year-old minor arrested after throwing projectile at police officers

The scene took place around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 1 in the Fontaine d’Ouche district of Dijon. Officers from the Brigade de Sécurisation de Terrain (BST) were in the process of ticketing a group of young people for illegally occupying a building lobby on Avenue du Lac in this working-class district. It was then that a 15-year-old boy threw a bottle of water at them and hit one of the officers.

A group intervenes to try to prevent the arrest

The minor then fled and another group of about twenty people tried to prevent his arrest when the officers went after him. The police had to use a hand-held tear gas grenade to disperse them. They finally caught up with the minor “throwing the bottle” and took him into custody. He will be summoned shortly before the juvenile judge to answer for his actions.
