Discover Liège’s First Non-Alcoholic Bar, Losmoz, in the Heart of Rue Souverain-Pont

It’s a new bar not quite like the others that opened its doors this Saturday in Liège. And just days away from the August 15 festivities, it might seem a little surprising. Losmoz, that’s its name, doesn’t serve a drop of alcohol. It is even the first of its kind in the burning city.

On the menu: wine, beer, cocktails, and yet all have zero alcohol content. This is a non-alcoholic bar. And the boss, Xavier Mottin, is very proud of it: “I’ve got rum, gin, I’ve got whiskey coming, and it’s all non-alcoholic that’s been made and dealcoholized for the sale of non-alcoholic products. I haven’t had alcohol for a while now and every time I go out for a drink with friends the choice for non-drinkers is very limited outside of sodas, so I wanted to create this place because I think I’m not the only one who doesn’t want to drink alcohol“, he specifies.

The bar is also open to artists with exhibitions changing every month. This type of bar also has its audience. Some customers have also come especially for this specificity: “I came just for that. You can very well enjoy a drink without this additional alcohol.“says John.”There is the fact of being able to find each other while keeping a lucid mind throughout the evening. And then the words that are shared when we have drunk alcohol are not always real words, and that bothers me“, adds Benoît.
