“My house is my fortress,” says folk wisdom. If in previous centuries, when building their own home, people, as a rule, relied on the dominant architectural styles, today the creators’ imagination comes to the fore. For many people, a home is not only a safe haven, a place of power and a roof over their heads, but also one of the ways to express yourself without saying a word. This is how unusual houses appear, which invariably attract the attention of not only local residents and tourists, but also the media. Among these unique dwellings is a bubble house located in the city of Lyon (France). Its architect Antti Lovag adhered to the idea that a person needs to return to his origins and live in a cave, as once, in the distant past. Therefore, in the south of France, he created a number of dwellings that resembled not so much caves as bubbles, large and round. They looked rather strange – like a tent with a large porthole window – but inside they were quite comfortable, with a living room, two bedrooms, bathrooms, an office, a gym, etc. Legendary fashion designer Pierre Cardin lived in one of these “bubbles” for some time.
