Peter Simonischek
He spent his childhood in the East Styrian market town of Hartmannsdorf, middle school at the boarding school in Sankt Paul im Lavanttal, where he appeared several times in the school theater. After school, Peter Simonischek – like his father – should become a dentist. He secretly registered at the Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Graz to train as an actor because his father really wanted him to become a doctor. After completing his training, he played on all major German-speaking stages and has been part of the ensemble at the Burgtheater since 1999, of which he was made an honorary member. With Peter Schneeberger, the charismatic artist embarks on a search for traces of his childhood memories: his time as an altar boy, hiking with his father and the summer holidays with his great-aunts in Slovenia.
