In October 2024, Doctolib boasts an impressive user base of 90 million patients across Europe. The platform remains completely free for patients booking appointments. Healthcare professionals, however, subscribe to the service, with basic plans starting at €135 per month.

By 2024, the company had expanded to around 2,900 employees, a far cry from its 750 employees in 2019. The company operates out of roughly 30 cities across France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.
A Unicorn with a Billion-Dollar Valuation
In March 2022, Doctolib achieved a milestone, becoming the most valuable French unicorn in French Tech. It surpassed companies like BackMarket, Contentsquare, and Qonto, with a valuation exceeding $6.4 billion. The company’s primary shareholders include Bpifrance, the French public investment bank, and General Atlantic, an American investment company. Eurazeo, Kernel, and Accel are also among its significant investors.
Financial Performance and Future Outlook
For the first time, in July 2024, Doctolib revealed its financial results publicly. The data showed that in 2022, the company generated a turnover of €217 million. However, it also recorded a loss of €168 million. “Doctolib’s annualized recurring revenue, the most common indicator in the software world, exceeded €300 million at the time,” the startup stated. Since 2020, Doctolib’s turnover has grown by 35% each year. The company has set an ambitious goal of achieving profitability by 2025.
