Mohamed Hani, a mental health consultant, said that domestic violence is one of the most important reasons for the high divorce rates in Egypt, as a result of the lack of agreement between the spouses within the family.
Hani indicated, during his speech at the first session of the Family and Community Cohesion Committee within the sessions of the societal axis of the National Dialogue, which was held under the title “Threats to Family Stability and Community Cohesion… Domestic Violence: Causes and Ways of Confrontation – Electronic Risks to Community Cohesion,” today, Thursday, that some Mothers raise their male children on many narcissistic acts, in addition to discrimination between children, whether male or female.
The mental health consultant demanded the need to change the inherited Egyptian ideas, to hold behavioral seminars for children, and for the Ministry of Education to organize educational psychological courses for students in middle school, and to analyze drugs for husband and wife before marriage.
