It feels like we’ve known that Donald Glover would star as Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars spinoff for years, probably because the project was announced in late 2020. But since then, pre-production has been solid at best, and the latest developments on that front suggest that the Lando project, which was originally set to be a TV series (no doubt on Disney+), will now be a spin-off movie. The information was revealed by Glover’s brother, Stephen Glover, who is currently writing the film with Donald.Speaking on the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast (thanks, Deadline), Stephen Glover said: “It’s not even a show. The idea now is to make a movie. … Now because of the strike, it’s like[電話遊戲]. With the current strike and no clear sign of production starting shortly before chaos erupted in Hollywood, we still don’t know when the project will premiere or even begin filming.
