Dorian Tota’s Family Olive Grove: Tradition and Quality from Puglia, Italy

2024-01-01 18:23:01

Dorian Tota’s family has been cultivating around twenty hectares of olive groves for more than four generations. The family lands are located in the Puglia region of Italy. More precisely, in the village of Serracapriola, in the heart of the protected Gargano natural park. “This region is renowned for the quality of its olives,” the young entrepreneur proudly announces. We are the first village to start the harvest season. This is what means that we don’t release an ordinary oil.”

No treatment is used, only regular tree pruning and soil maintenance are practiced. At Olio di Serra, olive oil is above all a family affair. In Italy, everyone comes together every year for the harvest and pressing in the fall. Then, in France, when the barrels of oil are transported to the Dardilly warehouse, it is Dorian and his father, Dante, who organize the bottling, labeling and marketing.
