Doussou Komara appointed Compliance Director of S&P Dow Jones Indices, in New York

The Guinean Doussou Komara has been appointed Compliance Director of S&P Dow Jones Indices for the Americas zone. This is a consecration for the one Financial Afrik readers read in the “Business Law” section. With his dual roles as a lawyer and a financier, Doussou Komara will play a leading role in the establishment of the division of compliance policies and the promotion of a culture focused on compliance and ethical rules throughout DJI. . As a reminder, Doussou joined the S&P Global group (formerly Standard & Poor’s) in 2018 as a Data Specialist within the Index Data Acquisition & Content Subscription (iDACS) service, where she was in charge of negotiating licensing agreements for market data.

Doussou has 15 years of experience in Financial Services and specifically in the regulation of securities, stock market indices, market data, anti-money laundering (AML) rules, KYC rules and code and International Sanctions. Doussou holds two Masters in Law, one in Banking and Financial Law and one in International Business Law, both from La Sorbonne (Paris).
