Dangerous currents threatened in several places along the Dutch coast. According to rescuers, the combination of strong currents and wind created a “very dangerous sea”.

The red flag was raised along the coast of North Holland as well as on the 11 kilometers of beach in The Hague.

The beaches were however well filled Sunday in The Hague. Dozens of people had to be brought back to shore. Two men lost their lives.

Unfortunately, four people lost their lives in total, according to HLN information.
