Dr Olivier Pellegrin Rebienot takes control of the Chul –

The transfer of duties to the head of the University Hospital Center of Libreville (Chul), took place within the framework of a sober ceremony, this Thursday, April 20, 2023, under the supervision of the Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Dr. Guy Patrick Obiang Ndong.

Specifying the context of the change at the head of the country’s largest health structure, the member of the government reminded the incoming Director General of all the expectations of the country’s highest health authorities, in favor of governance that places the the heart of all the strategies and initiatives, the improvement of the conditions of access to quality care in this reference hospital for the overwhelming majority of Gabonese populations.

In this sense, the guardianship, underlined Dr. Guy Patrick Obiang Ndong, will support and accompany without reservations the new leaders of Chul in all the important and courageous reforms that will be deployed.

It is therefore a message of responsibility, courage and above all respect for the rights and duties of everyone, that the head of the Department of Health and Social Affairs reiterated to the medical community and health professionals in service at the Chul, during a communication following the handover ceremony.

Appointed at the end of the Council of Ministers on April 14, Dr Olivier Pellegrin Rebienot, former Director General of the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS), replaces Dr Marie-Thérèse Vane Ndong-Obiang, transferred to the CNTS.
