Dr. Sultan Al-Jaber, President-designate of the Conference of the Parties “COP28”, met, on Tuesday, with the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Qu Dongyu.
The discussion dealt with ways of cooperation to advance the goals of the agriculture, food and climate agendas in COP28, and put the world on the right track to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement.
According to the conference page on Twitter, agricultural and food systems are of particular importance in the climate file, as they contribute to climate change, and are also affected by its repercussions.
