The cold season is just getting started, and many are wondering whether there will be enough medication available this winter season. In the last winter season there was an increase in supply and there were shortages of numerous medicines. Currently, not all medications are available. The Ministry of Health and the Association of Austrian Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (Phago) have now agreed to create a warehouse for active ingredients in order to prevent bottlenecks. With this agreement, pharmacies can now quickly prepare important medicines during peak demand. For the delivery of particularly cheap medicines, the wholesaler also receives a contribution of 0.28 euros per pack from the federal government.
