Vienna – Monique Tijsterman succeeds Herbert Müller as coach of Austria’s women’s handball national team. The 54-year-old is marking a first, as it will be the first time a woman will serve as head coach of an ÖHB A team. A very big challenge awaits them this year with the home European Championships. Tijsterman is considered “one of the most important personalities in Dutch handball,” the ÖHB announced on Friday. Her contract runs until April 2025.
