Eajar Platform: Rent Payments in Saudi Arabia to be Exclusively Through Bank Accounts from January

Riyadh – In Saudi Arabia, the rental transactions of residential and commercial buildings have been made through bank accounts only. Eajar clarified that the project is being implemented with the aim of making transactions transparent and preventing fraud. The Eajar Center informed that from January, rent payments will be made only through digital channels through the Eajar platform.

The Eajar platform has announced that rent payments for residential and commercial buildings in the country will now be accepted only through digital channels. The law will come into effect from January. The platform also stated that the project is being implemented with the aim of ensuring transparency in real estate activities and preventing fraud. Manual receipts will no longer be accepted for rental contracts. Instead, the authorized electronic receipts issued by the lessor shall be accepted as proof for remittance from the banks.
