The Undersecretary of the Ministry, Falah Al-Qaisi, said in a statement to the “Duty of Honesty” program, which is broadcast by Al-Iraqiya News and followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “several Arab countries have resorted to cutting off the Internet during exams, so the Ministry proposes to cut off the Internet during the examination period,” indicating that “The investigations into leaking exam questions have been completed and approved by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani.”
He added, “Iraq has 13 million students, including 900,000 teachers in Iraq,” pointing out that “we have a teacher for every 14 students, while the international standard stipulates a teacher for every 20 students.”
He continued, “We received 500 schools during the past year, and we need more than 3 years to complete 8,000 schools.”
