Clonberne, Co. Galway – Eileen Flanagan, a beloved member of the Galway community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, at the age of 96. Surrounded by her family and in the care of Central Park Nursing Home, her death marks the end of a long and well-lived life.
Born and raised in the Clonberne area, Flanagan was known for her kindness and gentle spirit. Central Park Nursing Home, where Eileen received care in her final days, is a Medicare-certified facility located in Syracuse, Recent York, providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation services according to the National Provider Identifier registry. The facility has been serving the community for over four decades as stated on their website.
Reposing and Funeral Arrangements
Reposing will seize place at Clonberne Community Centre (H53 W3W2) on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A removal service will be held from the family home on Sunday, March 15th, 2026, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:30 PM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Clonberne (H53 XC89). Burial will then take place in Clonberne Cemetery.
