Elderly women break through the wall of a house with an SUV – both women are injured

Two older women crashed their BMW X1 head-on into a multi-party residential building in Bad Reichenhall (Froschham) on Friday morning around 10:30 a.m. for reasons that have not yet been clarified, breaking through the outer wall below a window.

According to an initial assessment by the Red Cross, the two inmates were lucky in the accident and escaped with minor to moderate injuries.

Since the doors of the accident vehicle might no longer be opened, the Traunstein control center sent not only the Red Cross with the Reichenhall emergency doctor, the head of rescue services and two ambulances from Freilassing and Teisendorf, but also the Bad Reichenhall volunteer fire brigade to provide technical assistance to the scene of the accident.

Working together, the volunteers managed to pull the BMW, which was stuck in the wall under the window, into the front yard and push it back onto the street, where the towing service might take it over.

The emergency doctor and paramedic treated the two women and then took them to the Bad Reichenhall district clinic for further examination. The fire brigade ensured fire protection and cleaned the scene as well as possible. Officials from the Reichenhall police recorded the accident.
