Election of street chiefs in the PSUV is an exercise in direct democracy |

This Thursday, the president of the National Assembly (AN) and member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Rodríguez, described as “direct and fruitful democracy to build the future”, the holding of 280,000 assemblies for the selection of street bosses.

«The party founded by Commander Hugo Chávez will choose this Saturday in 280,000 assemblies its bosses and street bosses. Direct and fruitful democracy to build the future », Rodríguez highlighted through his social networks.

This election of leaders is due to the process of renewing the party’s structures, ordered by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

The new elected street leaders will be in office for four years, during which time they cannot be removed from office by any authority in the country, except the PSUV National Directorate.
