“Wow, that’s fast! Perched on a Lime electric scooter, Cristina Gongora tames her machine on the cycle path of Boulevard Voltaire in Paris, under the amused gaze of her husband. This summer, this couple in their thirties from Houston (Texas) treated themselves to a week of relaxation in the tricolor capital.

On the program: visits to major museums, picnics at the Buttes Chaumont, window shopping at La Samaritaine and scooter rides to admire the Haussmann-style facades. This last experience will not happen once more any time soon. From 1is September, the 15,000 self-service scooters from start-ups Lime, Dott and Tier must imperatively have left the pavement.
