Emergency Aid to Earthquake-Stricken Morocco: €300,000 Allocated by Italy’s Catholic Bishops’ Conference

3 lakh Euros has been allocated as emergency aid to earthquake affected Morocco.

Italy’s Catholic Bishops’ Conference has allocated 3 lakh Euros, equivalent to more than 2 crore 67 lakh rupees at the current exchange rate, to Morocco, which has been hit by a massive earthquake.

The local unit of Caritas, a Catholic relief organization, is involved in the relief work.

The Italian unit of Caritas also contacted the Caritas organization in Annadu and started the process of bringing help. Priest Marco Pangiello, the head of Caritas in Italy, expressed his solidarity and closeness to the earthquake victims and assured them of help.

The earthquake disaster that hit the Marrakesh region on Friday night, September 8, killed more than a thousand people, injured many more, and caused massive damage. Many buildings collapsed in the earthquake, which registered 7 on the Richter scale.
