New Delhi: The plane carrying Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi has made an emergency landing. The flight from Bengaluru to Delhi made an emergency landing at Bhopal airport due to bad weather. Rahul and Sonia were on their way back to Delhi following a meeting of major opposition parties in Bengaluru.
Due to bad weather, the flight landed at Bhopal airport around 7.45 pm on Tuesday. It is reported that the flight will leave for Delhi by Tuesday night itself. On hearing the incident, former minister P.C. Senior Congress leaders from Madhya Pradesh like Sharma and MLA Kunal Chaudhary have arrived at the airport.
A large opposition meeting in which 26 opposition parties participated to strengthen the fight once morest the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections concluded in Bengaluru on Tuesday evening. The meeting also took an important decision to name the alliance as INDIA. It is reported that Sonia Gandhi herself may lead the alliance. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may also be chosen as the convener.
