Emilie Rosenstein, academic research at the service of society

Some researchers dedicate their academic career to quantum physics, postmodern literature or even the fight once morest cancer. Emily Rosenstein, she chose an arid and little explored subject: precariousness. In all its forms, from the most blatant to the most insidious. A graduate of the University of Geneva in sociology and professor at the Haute Ecole de travail social et de la santé de Lausanne (HETSL|HES-SO), the 39-year-old Genevan directs the brand new Precariousness Observatory, created last May in the canton of Vaud. The goal? Document the phenomena of poverty, from risk factors to levers of action, to help guide public policies.
