BEIJING, January 30, WAM/ An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale rocked Xia County, Aksu State, in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Monday morning, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The Chinese news agency, Xinhua, quoted the center as saying that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 40.01 degrees north latitude and 82.29 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 50 kilometers.
