Emirates News Agency – Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank acquires additional shares in its banking unit in Egypt

ABU DHABI, 5th January, 2020 (WAM) — Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank announced the acquisition of additional shares in “Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt.”
The bank said, in a disclosure to the Abu Dhabi Securities Market today, that the bank bought 9.6 million shares from the National Investment Bank, which represents 2.4% of the capital of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt.
The disclosure indicated that this transaction led to an increase in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank’s ownership percentage in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt to 52.607%.
