Emirates News Agency – Al-Khair Award for Voluntary Work honors 61 volunteers

HATTA, February 12, WAM / The Goodwill Award for Voluntary Work, in its seventh session, honored 61 male and female volunteers in the Bee Garden in the Hatta region in Dubai, where Sheikh Eng. Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Civil Aviation Department in Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees, handed the honorees certificates of appreciation.
The honoring was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi, Firas Aziz bin Darwish, Vice President of the Al Khair Award for Voluntary Work, Dr. Salem Mohammed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Cancer Society, Dr. Hind Humaid Al Alili, member of the Federal National Council, and a number of officials.

Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi said that voluntary work reflects the approach adopted by the UAE since its establishment in humanitarian giving and providing good to all without charge.

For his part, Firas Aziz bin Darwish praised the efforts of all volunteers in the various charitable and humanitarian institutions and initiatives in the UAE.
