Emirates News Agency – Anas Jaber reaches the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships

LONDON, July 3 / WAM / Tunisian tennis player Anas Jaber qualified for the quarter-finals of the English Open “Wimbledon” following defeating Belgian Elise Mertens 7-6/11-9/5-4 on Sunday in the fourth round of the tournament.

Anas Jaber, 27, ranked second in the world, equaled her previous best result in the four Grand Slam tournaments by reaching the quarter-finals at Wimbledon for the second consecutive year.

Anas Jaber also qualified for the same round in the Australian Open in 2020. Anas Jaber, the third seed in the tournament, will meet in the quarter-finals with Czech Maria Bozkova.
