Emirates News Agency – Brazilian Flamengo returns Vidal to South America after 15 years in Europe

ABU DHABI, July 14 (WAM) – Brazilian football club Flamengo has signed Chilean international Arturo Vidal on a free transfer deal following the player left Inter Milan.

Inter terminated Vidal’s contract, 35, last Monday by mutual consent between the two parties, before the player joined the prestigious Brazilian club to return to South America following nearly 15 years of European professionalism.

Vidal, the former player of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, joined Inter in 2020, but Vidal participated in the starting line-up for Inter in only two matches in the Italian league last season.

Vidal began his European career in 2007 when he moved from the Chilean Colo-Colo team to the German Bayer Leverkusen and spent 4 years in the German League before moving to Italian Juventus and then to Bayern Munich and then Barcelona before joining Inter.
