DUBAI, 28th October, 2020 (WAM) — The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center has signed an agreement with Airbus Defense and Space that stipulates the cooperation of the two parties in the Emirates project to explore the moon, including the areas of testing the original samples on the lunar surface.

The agreement was signed by Salem Al Marri, Deputy Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center and Andreas Lindenthal, Head of Operations and Products Unit at Airbus Space Systems, on the sidelines of the International Astronautical Conference, the world’s most prominent event in the space sector, which is currently being held at the Dubai World Trade Center. “.

The agreement signed between the two parties includes a detailed scope of aspects of joint cooperation, including making the best use of the original resources at the exploration sites and enhancing the main capabilities of each of the two parties to perform operations on the moon’s surface, such as the areas of movement, robotics, soil treatment and other fields.
