BRUSSELS, May 17th, WAM/ The European Parliament congratulated the UAE on the election of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, as President of the State.
The head of the parliamentary delegation for relations with the Arabian Peninsula, Hana Newman, expressed her wishes for the UAE further prosperity and advancement under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The European Parliament mourned the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and offered his condolences to the people and government of the United Arab Emirates. Neumann said in a statement, “With my colleagues, I extend my deepest condolences to the people and government of the United Arab Emirates,” noting the merits of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as the UAE took unprecedented steps. Unprecedented growth and modernization made it a global center for trade, cultural exchange and tourism.
She stressed that the European Parliament delegation for relations with the Arabian Peninsula will continue to work to consolidate a strong and lasting political and parliamentary partnership with the United Arab Emirates and its Federal National Council.
