Emirates News Agency – European stocks rise after sharp losses

London, March 14, WAM/ European stock indices rose during today’s trading, following yesterday recorded the worst daily performance since the beginning of this year, due to fears of the repercussions of the collapse of the US “Silicon Valley” bank.
And by 02:27 pm UAE time, the European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.16 percent, or the equivalent of 0.69 points, to reach 443.49 points.
The German “DAX” index rose by 0.51 percent, or 76.4 points, to reach 15,035.83 points, and the French “CAC 40” index increased by 12.4 points, or 0.18 percent, to 7,023.88 points.
The “Euro Stoxx 50” index increased by 0.3 percent, or 11.05 points, to reach the level of 4107.29 points, while the British “FTSE 100” index decreased by 0.24 percent, or the equivalent of 18.35, to reach the level of 7530.28 points.
