Emirates News Agency – Gulf Health Council discusses ways to develop health services

RIYADH, September 7 / WAM / Members of the Executive Body of the Health Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) discussed ways to develop health services in the GCC states, which fall under the council’s main pillars of prevention, awareness, development and health support, during its meeting held today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The council’s strategic plans and programs were also discussed, and the role of current and future awareness campaigns aimed at promoting health behaviors and practices and raising health awareness in the GCC countries was also discussed.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Issa Al-Mansoori and Nasser Khalifa Al-Badour from the UAE, Dr. Maryam Ibrahim Al-Hajri from Bahrain, Dr. Nayef bin Asaad Al-Jasham from Saudi Arabia, Dr. Saeed bin Hareb Al-Lamki from the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Hamad Al-Thani, Abdullatif Ali Al-Abdullah from Qatar, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and Dr. Buthaina Mudhaf Al-Mudhaf from Kuwait and Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Dahan from Yemen.
