An expectant mother, recently delivered at a medical facility in Petah Tikva, a city in central Israel, was diagnosed with this dual viral infection. This information surfaced via the Ynet news service on Thursday.
Medical analyses from the hospital confirmed the simultaneous presence of both influenza and COVID-19 in this unvaccinated individual.
The patient has shown relatively moderate disease symptoms and is expected to be discharged shortly.
