Emirates News Agency – Japanese stocks fall after 4 consecutive sessions of gains

Capitals, on September 14 / WAM / Japanese stock indices fell at the close of trading today, following a series of gains that continued for 4 consecutive sessions.

The Nikkei index closed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, down by 2.78%, equivalent to 796.01 points, to close at 27,818.62 points.

The broader Topix index fell by 1.97%, equivalent to 39.11 points, to close at 1947.46 points.

In a related context, Chinese stock indices fell, with the “ESI” Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange falling by 0.8%, or 26.26 points, to reach 3,237.54 points.

The Chinese Hang Seng Index fell by 2.37%, equivalent to 453.85 points, to reach the level of 18,873.01 points.
