Emirates News Agency – Kuwait’s national team faces its Iraqi counterpart in a friendly, in preparation for the Gulf Cup 25

BASRA, 29th December, 2019 (WAM) — The Kuwaiti national football team announced that it will face its Iraqi counterpart in a friendly match tomorrow, Friday, at Al-Mina Olympic Stadium, in preparation for the two teams’ participation in the Arabian Gulf Cup “Khaleeji 25”.

The tournament competitions will start on January 6th until the 19th of the same month at the Basra and Olympic Port stadiums, with the participation of 8 teams.

The Iraqi national team is at the top of the first group, which includes Saudi Arabia, Oman and Yemen. While the Kuwaiti national team is in the second group, which includes the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.
